Membership
Cambodians for Resource Revenue Transparency is a coalition of Cambodian civil society organizations whose mission is relevant to the purposes of the Coalition; who demonstrate capacity that can strengthen the Coalition’s activities, including knowledge, skills, and access to target audiences; and that commit to take a leading role in at least one area of Coalition activities. Full members will be selected through a transparent and open process. Full members shall financially support the Coalition through contributions, the amount of which will be determined periodically by the Board of Directors and based on members’ ability to pay.
Governance By a Board of Directors
- The organization shall be governed by a Board of Directors. The Board will guide the development of strategies and policies that ensure the goals and activities of the organization have relevance and importance to Cambodia’s economic and social development.
- The Board shall endeavor to make the organization an effective, efficient and credible organization. The Board shall work to support staff in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization. The Board shall, in all its actions and deliberations, be accountable to its members and the Cambodian public at large.
Qualifications of Board Members
The Board members must be honest and of good repute and agree to sign and maintain an up-to-date conflict of interest statement. The composition of the Board should include a broad range of skills and experience appropriate to the governing of the organization and aim to achieve gender equity. The Board should, as a group, possess the following qualifications between them:
- Knowledge about the extractive industries
- Understanding of transparency issues and initiatives as these relate to extractive industries and national development
- Knowledge about key economic and social development sectors in Cambodia
- Established competence in organizational management and development
- Experience in financial management
- Experience in resource mobilization/fund raising.
